FAST INTRODUCTION
This tour combines very fabulous things of Portugal. Get ready to meet outstanding landscapes and views and also, to feel the intense flavors of a rural area that stopped in time. It must be visited not only because everything is very good but mostly because of its creamy cheeses and prestigious wines!
So, shall we begin our discovery?
We will pick you up at your hotel or apartment and we´ll cross Vasco da Gama bridge over Tagus River, the second longest bridge in Europe.
PALMELA
An interesting village with a the 12th Century Castle of Palmela, known as the Mouros’ Castle.
WINE CELLARS
We will visit the historical wine cellar and will be faced with two options:
1. Visit to the "Jose Maria da Fonseca" winery
or
2. Visit to the “Quinta da Bacalhoa” cellar
Option N1: JOSE MARIA DA FONSECA WINERY
José Maria da Fonseca produces Piriquita wine, Moscatel Wine and 40 more brands of wine. Through the visit, you might find out about its over hundred year old secrets and get delighted by a tasting of 3 of their greatest wines.
Option N2: "QUINTA DA BACALHOA" CELLAR
In this case we will visit “Quinta da Bacalhoa” cellar and we’ll do it from inside to outside. We will see unique parts of a private art collection, through the gardens and the vineyards to the lake house where we might find the first tile “azulejo” painted in Portugal.
LUNCH TIME
Next stop will be for a traditional Portuguese lunch: we will go to a restaurant where the atmosphere of that epoch is present not only within the decoration and ambience but also on the menu.
AZEITÃO CHEESE & "TORTA" TASTING
Before wine Tasting we make a stop in Azeitão to taste Azeitão cheese and "torta".
TILE´S FACTORY
The factory reproduces historical designs for individual resale or custom orders such as the façade of a church in Gabon or a living room in Atlanta.
RETURN
At the end of the tour, discover the other bridge over Tagus River, the Bridge the 25th April.
So, we’ll give you the opportunity of crossing both bridges in one day.
You will be taken back to your hotel or apartmens in Lisbon (around 06h00 p.m.).
