Option 1: PENA PALACE
Then we’ll continue to Pena Palace, the most extravagant palace built on a rock at 500m Altitude dominating the whole coast to Lisbon and he brings together diferent architectural styles and symbols of the Portuguese past, including the Gothic-Manueline. It is one of the most attractive monuments of this region.
Explore this picturesque royal retreat, plucked straight from a fairy tale dreamworld and get lost in the 500-acre gardens, packed with exotic plant life, meandering streams, and all sorts of hidden delights.
Option 2: THE QUINTA DA REGALEIRA
One of the most surprising and mysterious of all Sintra’s monuments. A magical place located on the outskirts of the village. It was built in the first years of the 20th century, by Carvalho Monteiro a man with a vast culture and a great philanthropist.
Option 3: THE MONSERRATE PALACE
You can visit the Monserrate Palace and explore what was once a 16th-century chapel and a private house. See the amazing decorations, walk the gardens of this unique UNESCO World Heritage site, and see special plant species from all over the world!
Check out the gothic and Indian influences and take some time to smell the flowers, planted according to their geographical origins.
Option 4: THE MOORS CASTLE
Looking for the best views of Sintra? You'll get them up at this 10th-century Moorish monument. Is a fortification built with granite blocks after the Muslim conquest of the Iberian Peninsula.
Walk the beautiful pathways, see ancient artifacts from the Bronze Age, Iron Age, and Neolithic period. All the while you'll learn about the castle's history and see Sintra, the Palace of Pena, the natural park and the Atlantic Ocean from a whole new perspective.
