You know? Nowadays, almost everybody knows that in Portugal you can have very, really very good food. Portugal is known for its unique kitchen. It might not be as elegant as the French one, but it is already famous, it has won several awards and it covers not only meat and fish but it also has very good sweets!
Have you heard about Bacalhau (codfish)? You will be amazed with all the ways it can prepared in Portugal! But you can also have Prego (typical beef dish), Dourada (gold fish), sardinha assada (grilled sardines) and end up with a delicious, unforgettable Pastel de nata [pɐʃˈtɛl d' natɐ] there are a lot of people who would like to discover the secret formula to do these Pasteis [pɐ ʃ tɛi ʃ ] but very few know all the secrets. "Caldo verde" ("Green broth"), "Queijo da Serra" (a typical cheese), saussages of Tras-os-Montes and, of course, the Portuguese bread! It is not just bread, it is good natural bread - it is the basis of the Portuguese cuisine, and you will find it always on every table!
For all these reasons, the city of seven hills is a must destination not only for those who want to know about the architecture heritage and all its monuments and the like, but also to those who also want to know the gastronomic delight of this beautiful country.

We imagined a unique scenario to promote and lead you to enjoy the amazing Portuguese flavors to you. We met nice people and will bring you to them, in the old part of Lisbon, so you meet some hidden Portuguese gems.
Our tasty tour includes Portuguese artisan cheeses, gourmet black pork sausages, Pata Negra ham, homemade jams and much more. Here, everything is 100% Portuguese.
When you hear someone stating he had a good meal in Portugal, this statement certainly included a drink. As surely in your country, there are many things we can drink in a meal, and of course we are no exception. From north to south we are served with many good different wines.
The Douro region has become famous worldwide because of its certified DOC wines, but wines from Alentejo and Dão are very appreciated by a lot of people as well. We have also different ways to seal a meal and one of them can be with a famous drink - The Port wine.
First let’s start with our codfish. It comes from the Norwegian Sea but it is a king in the Portuguese kitchen being a culinary “chameleon” fish that wonderfully adapts itself to over a thousand different dishes. Therefore, try the famous Pastel de Bacalhau (salted codfish pasty) with or without a refreshing glass of very cold Vinho Verde (green wine) or of Madeira wine.
Next, your local Portuguese guide will take you to nice Garrafeira to enjoy a delicious and famous Vinho do Porto (Porto wine).
In this tour “keep a space” for a Ginjinha (Portuguese local liqueur) in a glass or in a cup of ... chocolate. Mmmmm... Would you like to know why Ginjinha is served either in a normal small glass or in a chocolate cup? We can tell you why…
The tour can also take you to a visit a traditional old gourmet shop.
A place where you can have a nice glass of Portuguese wine paired with petiscos/tapas in a spot where you don’t have to yell to hear your friends. This is Lisbon.
Tip: Here you can buy delicious Portuguese cured meat. You can also get a very good selection of cheeses and, if you want, you can eat them after the visit or take them to your friends, or to you, in your homeland to taste while remembering good memories from Portugal!
Finally, we’ll visit one of Lisbon’s most antique and traditional pastry shop that had the status of supplier of the Portuguese Royal House that knows the undisclosed secrets of Portuguese sweets, finishing our tour with the amazing espresso and the famous pastel de nata! It is a must to anyone visiting Lisbon!
